Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
